vivid

i wish i knew how it would feel to be free poster

so my friend candace recently moved house and i wanted to get her something meaningful as a housewarming gift. as such i came up with the idea of creating some custom art for her. now, getting things like this printed tends to be quite expensive, so i same up with the ruse of a school poster to have it printed at a cheaper price.

i took the file to vivid print, which is right next to garneau theatre, to have it printed and i have to say it was a fantastic experience. i felt a bit guilty, as the lovely sales associate upgraded my paper choice at no charge because he felt the matte paper would ripple with the colour saturation, but not guilty enough not to take advantage of the fantastic deal. to be honest, one of my main objectives was simply to see what kind of quality could be printed and i was very impressed. i would definitely pay full price in the future for the product that i received.

in the end i got a 4 foot by 3 foot poster of the above image that is flawless. it looks amazing and now it just needs to be framed and hung and it will be fantastic in candace’s new home, which by the way is fabulous. i was completely impressed with vivid print and would recommend checking out their website as they have some very cool services that include photo wallpaper, canvas printing and custom artwork.
