FRAT PARTY! (TM) gets animated.

so i was looking through the pictures from FRAT PARTY! again and i noticed that quite a few of them were a bit repetitive. this gave me the idea to animate them. i love these.

in both of these first two pictures we all look like we’re posing as flash bulbs explode in front of us, which i suppose in a sense we are, but it’s nowhere near as glamorous as that sentence sounded.

ryan riding the mechanical sheep is amazing, followed by jo-ann and i which is almost creepy because it’s quite like a video, slightly on the wrong side of dirty, and almost seems 3D

so on my birthday, before i left to go camping, i went to the laundromat on the corner of whyte and 99th street as i was out of laundry tokens for my building. apart from the fact that i had to drag my laundry four blocks away from home, it was an excellent trip.

i don’t know what it is about them, but i just find laundromats fertile ground for creativity. i took pictures of the machines, things reflected in them, and also a few videos of my clothes drying. it sounds strange, and perhaps a little pretentious (apologies), but there is something iconic about laundromats. a friend once told me about a bar/laundromat they had visited which sounded really cool. would love to hear some chill music and enjoy a few drinks while watching my clothes go round and round in the dryer. also, i kind of hate doing laundry in general, but at the laundromat it somehow seems like much less of a chore. would love to have a weekly meeting with people at the laundromat for a big laundry party.

kind of a random post but in conclusion, laundromats: fantastic.
